About G-F One Coatings of Minnesota

I’m Joe Sheehan, owner and founder of G-F One Coatings. I have been in the commercial construction and service industry in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area for over 30 years. Since 2003, I focused on the application of epoxy floor coatings on garage, industrial and commercial floors with marginal success. In 2006, we discovered polyspartic and polyurea coatings that were applied similarly to epoxy, but with extraordinary long-term results. With my team, led by Tony DeHaven and Mike Steinberg, we developed the “Prep Perfect System,” which included techniques, and the use of polyspartic in decorative media type floors.

We started training local contractors and applicators in the metro area. By the end of 2006, we have introduced polyspartic floor coatings nationwide. Our national training program expanded quickly to 100’s of garage renovation companies throughout the country. For the past four years, our experience as national trainers we’ve seen polyspartic / polyurea manufactures impact the market; some good, some bad. Three factors clearly determine the success of a coating project. 1) The technician’s experience, training, professionalism and dedication. 2) The product is “what’s on the label, is what’s in the can.” 3). The equipment – the grinding, dust recovery - used by the applicator on your job.

We started as applicators, and became trainers, and now we are bringing our experience and knowledge to the customer to help them make an informed decision on their concrete coating product.
